The American Sublime exists to celebrate good, true, and beautiful writing and journalism.

If you would like to have your work featured in The American Sublime, please email americansublimemag@gmail.com with your proposal or writing and the editors will review your submission for publication.

Compensation is limited at the moment but the editors plan to share any perks, free books, gift cards, book event passes, and other paraphernalia with regular contributors.

Opinions/Essays: 1,000 to 2,000 words
Feature Articles: 2,500 to 4,000 words
Book Reviews: 1,000 to 1,500 words
Photo Essays: 6 to 12 hi-rez photos, 500 to 1000 words
Poems: We are all ears and eyes.
Fiction: Let’s chat. Send us your best page.

Letters To The Editors

Letters under four hundred words are preferred, and they may be edited for length and clarity. Please leave them in the comments or send them to americansublimemag@gmail.com.

*The editors will generally decide on your submission within two to four weeks. If you do not receive a decision within three weeks, please send a follow-up query.

Submission Policy: The American Sublime will consider for publication any material that falls within the following guidelines: Material should be intelligible and submitted with contact info: phone or email address. Material that is libelous, vile, racist or degrading will not be published. The use of nom-de-plumes may be allowed upon request. The American Sublime reserves the right to edit material for length, grammar and spelling.
